Welcome Beyaz

Beyaz ( Shepherds Rest Beyaz IMP USA) arrived at Tribocie in early July and is settling in really well. He’s now working towards gaining his Australian Champion Title. Thank you Chyril Walker for sending this boy down under!

The way it should be!

Jaffa, a working ASD from the NSW Hunter Valley has proven he has what it takes to be both a real working ASD as well as a Specialty and all breeds BEST IN SHOW winner.

Jaffa was awarded BEST IN SHOW at the ASD Club of NSW Championship Show under Turkish Breeds Specialist and president of the Turkish Kennel Club, Dr Umit Ozkanal (Turkey), with a fantastic critic of his form for function.
A few days later Jaffa went on to win BEST IN GROUP under Dr Umit Ozkanal, then RUNNER UP TO BEST IN SHOW (BIS2) (All breeds) under Mrs M Lunde (Norway)!

Jaffa is proof that genuine working dogs, (not over reactive, glorified door bells) with correct working temperament can be both working dogs and show dogs. Jaffa is the REAL DEAL!
After his recent wins, Jaffa is now Australian Champion and will be back at work on the farm until the next big show.

Learning about farm life

The last week has seen the pups spending more time with the other dogs and farm animals. This is important to their long term adjustment and desensitisation.

Puppies exploring their world

Brigid babies arrived late September 2014. Pups are all doing well and Brigid is a being a great mum!

This has turned out to be a very big year for us! Our second two legged ‘pup’ is due in a few months and, amazingly rare, two of the girls we mated have now blessed us with puppies too!

Brigid and Duman

Duman is our foundation stud dog and loyal family guardian. He is an Australian Champion and has sired excellent working dogs, family companions and major show award winning dogs. He passes on his sound, level and loyal temperament and his handsome good looks!

Brigid is the first and ANKC registered import from Turkey in Australia, so this is a very special litter. She comes from a traditional working background, and spent the first part of her life raised in this lifestyle. She has the sweetest, gentlest nature; but she is fierce when needed!

Izzy and Rasta

Izzy was bred by Caroline at Comarkaan in QLD. She is a BFG – a big, friendly giant, but will also quickly reprimand nonsense and squash any brewing trouble. An angel with the stock, tolerant of the other farm dogs, and a loyal devotee of our two legged two year old, Izzy is very special to us.

Rasta is a young, strapping, big boy who loves to tear up the show ring when he is not lounging on his family’s couch in Canberra. Also Australian Champion, and son of Duman, he is the first Anatolian to win an All Breeds Best in Show in Australia, and likely the world. His litter mates Jaffa in the Hunter Valley, and Albert in Tasmania are proving to be excellent livestock guardians. Rasta is a lot of fun, and often comes to stay with us to have a romp around the farm and for a weekend of showing.

Busy few months!

It’s been a while since we’ve updated, but we have been very busy!

October saw us load up and road trip to Melbourne, Victoria to compete in the Melbourne Royal and the first ever Australian Anatolian Specialty, the ASDCV Çoban Köpeği Festival. It was great to have such quality competition and see so many ASD in the one place!

Since then we have been flat out moving to and setting up Tribocie’s second farm, 30 acres in the Hawkesbury. The dogs and goats are settling in really well.

2014 is looking like it will be another knock out year, lots of exciting things in the pipeline!

Not retiring anytime soon!

We ventured to Canberra last weekend to help our puppies (and their people) make their showing debuts. Well, Duman decided that being the good dad he is, that he must rise to the occasion and show his two sons and daughter just how it’s done.

Aus. Ch. Comarkaan Duman won Best of Breed both days, Best Open in Group on the Saturday, and RUNNER UP BEST IN GROUP and BEST OPEN IN SHOW on Sunday!

Dumans son, Tribocie Stir it Up (aka Milo) came 4th in a sweepstakes class of 24 puppies. Daughter Tribocie Sweet as Pie (aka Domino) also came 4th in sweepstakes the next day, and turned her Best Baby Puppy of Breed into Best Baby Puppy in Group; phenomenal for her first show!

It was a lovely weekend meeting new and old ASD owners, and spending some great time with two and four legged friends.
